Commander Bacara was actually onscreen in Revenge of the Sith, so you may or may not remember him as one of Ki-Adi Mundi's troops that executed Order 66. It's a cool figure, in that it's a fairly distinctive looking clone, and it's well articulated.

#9: G.I. Joe The Rise of Cobra - Cobra Eel
As you probably know by now, these Joe movie figures are all pretty well made and the Eel is no exception. He's well accessorized with a big harpoon gun, and a pistol and knife that have holsters on his legs. And the fins are removable. There's also a removable airtank on his back that plugs into the back of his head. The giant missile launcher he comes with has handles and little fold out wings. It kind of looks like a torpedo, but with the handles, I figure it's some means of propulsion. Like those guys were using in Thunderball. I think of all the Joe figures I have, this one has the least amount of paint on it. As you can see, he's almost entirely black. Aside from the obvious red shoulders, there is some grey at the top of the vest, and the rings are painted as well. Good for hiding in the depths, I suppose.

Day 18
Filling out the mail-order form for Nahdar Vebb.
So in case you didn't know, Hasbro is currently running another mail-order offer for Star Wars. The usual shebang, send in some UPCs, a check, wait 6-8 weeks, and bam, you have yourself a new figure. Nahdar Vebb is a Mon Cal Jedi that appeared in one episode. Until Hasbro gets around to making a new Admiral Ackbar figure, he'll fill trap warning duties around here.

#7: Star Wars Clone Wars Commander Bly
When the clone troopers first showed up, it was kind of weird thinking of the guys in white armor as the good guys, since I grew up with the Stormtroopers as bad guys. Now kids are growing up with the Clone Wars cartoon as their primary source of Star Wars entertainment, so I wonder if they think it's weird seeing the guys in white armor as bad guys when they watch the original trilogy. I wonder what it's like to grow up with the entire saga complete.

Day 1: Welcome to ARFebruary
For the past few years, I've been doing a project in which I take and post a picture for each day in February. The most recent two years have featured toy themes (clone troopers, and Captain Rex) and I am keeping up that theme this year with the ARF Trooper. As such, I have dubbed this year's endeavor "ARFebruary". Since this is my toy blog, I figured it would be appropriate to showcase here. So for the rest of the month, there will be a new picture of the ARF Trooper posted here.
I was thinking of doing a Bizarro theme, but I figured the cape might get in the way if I want to do sitting shots, much like Captain Rex's skirt did last year. Star Wars figures are also easier to cart around due to their compact size. The ARF Trooper also has lateral hip movement, which helped put him in the running. So, enjoy ARFebruary!
