I had a bit of a "treat yo self" day and decided to get myself one of the more expensive pieces of merchandise affiliated with our new lord and master of mechanical cuteness, BB-8. It's a remote controlled toy, with the twist that it's controlled by your phone through an app. This gives things a few more options than a standard remote control set. There's the standard remote control settings, and BB-8 can be set to patrol mode, and can be issued voice commands. You can also use the camera to record holographic messages. BB-8 is recharged with a USB docking station, so there are no extra batteries needed.
