#30: Star Wars The Black Series - Ahsoka Tano

Ahsoka is the second (and much more elusive) figure from Rebels to get the "realistic" treatment in the six inch Black Series. I was really psyched when she first showed up in Rebels, and more so when this figure was announced. And then the second season finale for Rebels happened, which made me more anxious to see what will happen next with Ahsoka. Anyway, since this is Rebels, this is the all grown up version of Ahsoka with her dual lightsabers. Since leaving the Jedi order, she either rebuilt them or got new lightsabers, but now they have blades. The blades are removable and the hilts can hang from her sides. Sadly, my figure has a QC issue in that her left shoulder is immovable. Since she's so scarce, getting a replacement seems unlikely. Otherwise, she's a really cool figure, and I'm glad to have one of my favorite Star Wars women in the six inch scale.

#29: Star Wars The Black Series - Kanan Jarrus

Around the time Hasbro started making figures for Rebels, they started making all (except the Wal-Mart exclusive figures) the 3 3/4 inch figures with reduce articulation. Which is when I abandoned that scale for the six inch figures. The six inch line is going to be in the "realistic" style exclusively, but thankfully they are adapting animated characters into the style, and Kanan here is one of the first efforts. If there were a live version adaptation of Rebels, this is pretty much what you would expect Kanan to look like. He comes with a blaster and his lightsaber. Like in the show, the lightsaber separates into two pieces which can be stored on his belt, and there is a holster for the blaster. Kanan's wave is still new and is hard to find. I only got him by checking Amazon obsessively and having a bit of lucky timing. Ahsoka is his wave mate, and Sabine is coming later this year. Here's hoping for a six inch scale Chopper!

#28: Hot Wheels - Tanknator (HW Daredevils 155/200)

I've been keeping an eye out for the Minecraft mining cart in the Hot Wheels section lately, when I noticed the Tanknator. What caught my eye is that the picture on the card shows a person riding in the tank, and the tank itself has the little handholds that lead me to believe that it's LEGO minifigure compatible. Unfortunately, the space in the turret is just a little too narrow for a LEGO minifigure's legs to fit. But they can hang off the sides with the handholds. Other than that disappointment, it's a pretty cool looking tank.

#27: Star Wars The Black Series - Clone Commander Cody

Now that The Force Awakens has been released to physical media, and today's teaser for Rogue One has dropped, here's a figure from a completely different era of the Star Wars saga. Also, a fun fact that I recently became aware of is that Hasbro Toy Shop has an eBay account. They offer free shipping on orders more than 99 cents, so it's a better deal than shopping at the actual website. Anyway, as the only named clone in the movies, Cody has always been a favorite, which is helped by his cool distinctive armor. Like almost every other clone trooper figure, he's armed with the clone blaster and rifle. Since this is one of the older figures, he has double hinged elbows while newer figures have hinge/swivels.
